I did 106, and then another 53 at the last minute, almost all in pencil with white acrylic highlights, a few painted in full colour.
Starting with just the landscapes from the first 106 arranged as the completed puzzle: the scenes follow the story too in a clockwise spiral: Bag-end, Rivendell, Moria, Lorien, Rohan, Isengard, Gondor, Mordor, and finally in the centre the Grey Havens.
