I tried this technique for Tony Perna’s ‘Spellcaster’ set and liked it; usually I’d lay most of the colours down first in acrylic and draw over the top, this way I get most of the lines draw first and then will glaze the colours afterwards with oil paint.
Oil paints because it’s more transparent than muddy acrylics, more versatile, vibrant and sexy than watercolours, won’t drag the ink around like Copics. Huzzah!
